Making Thanksgiving Meaningful for All
This Thanksgiving, join To Be Truly Seen (TBTS) for a morning of joy, connection, and gratitude at our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Day Bingo with the Homeless at the Dorothy Day Center.
Last year’s event was one of the most heartwarming experiences TBTS has ever had, with over 100 participants joining in laughter, shouts of “BINGO,” and smiles that filled the room. What began as an act of service became a celebration of love, dignity, and community with encounters that left every volunteer’s heart full.

Thanksgiving Day Schedule
This year, Father Sean has graciously offered to celebrate Mass at 8:00 AM in the Saint Francis Chapel for all TBTS volunteers before we depart for Dorothy Day. We’re deeply grateful for his generosity in helping us begin this special day in prayer and thanksgiving.
- 8:00 am – Mass in the Chapel with Father Sean
- 8:30–9:20 am – TBTS prep work in the school cafeteria
- 9:20–9:30 am – Load vehicles and depart for the Dorothy Day Center
- 10:00–10:30 am – Set up for Bingo
- 10:30–11:20 am – Play Bingo, serve snacks, and share time with our guests
- 11:30 am – Clean up and return home (just in time to get your turkey in the oven!)
Come and share your time with those who are hurting, lonely, and homeless, who have come to rest at Dorothy Day. Together, as a Saint Ambrose community, we continue to serve with compassion and to share Christ’s love so generously with others.
