A funeral is a time when parishioners and families need the most support. As part of the funeral service, luncheons or receptions are made available at Saint Ambrose. The time for fellowship is an important part of the funeral for families. The staff could not make this possible without the support from volunteers. Below are areas to help and support others as part of the Funeral Ministry at Saint Ambrose.
Church Visitation Assistance
There are times when families prefer to have a loved one’s funeral visitation at Saint Ambrose. The staff at Saint Ambrose appreciate volunteers able to assist in preparation and during the visitation to be of service to those in attendance.
Hospitality for Lunches
Funeral luncheon volunteers help serve the food and beverages, allowing the family to share a meal while visiting with guests and remembering their loved one.
Setup and Takedown
Another important volunteer opportunity, as part of the Funeral Ministry, is helping set-up the luncheons and receptions, as well as assisting with clean up. We appreciate the additional hands that can help the staff.
If you are able and willing to assist the Funeral Ministry, please reach out to Deacon John Vomastek. The staff at Saint Ambrose truly appreciate those able to help and volunteer.
