Serve Through Liturgy & Worship
The liturgy is the heart of parish life. Each time we gather for Mass and the sacraments, countless parishioners quietly serve behind the scenes and in visible roles to help create a prayerful, beautiful, and welcoming worship experience.
Whether you feel called to proclaim God’s Word, serve at the altar, assist with Holy Communion, offer hospitality, or share your musical gifts, there is a place for you to serve. These ministries are more than volunteer opportunities—they are a way to deepen your own faith while helping others encounter Christ.
Liturgical Ministries
Liturgical ministers help lead our parish family in prayer by serving during Masses and other liturgical celebrations. Training is provided, and new volunteers are always welcome.
- Lector – Proclaim the Word of God during Mass, helping bring Sacred Scripture to life for the congregation.
- Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion – Assist in the reverent distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass.
- Altar Server – Serve alongside our priests during Mass while growing in faith and understanding of the liturgy.
- Sacristan – Prepare the church and sacred vessels before Mass, helping ensure everything is ready for worship.

Music Ministry
Music is an integral part of our worship, helping lead our parish family in prayer and drawing hearts closer to Christ. Whether you’re an experienced musician or simply love to sing, there are meaningful opportunities to share your gifts.
Opportunities include:
- Adult Choir – Lead the congregation in song during Sunday Masses and Holy Days.
- Children’s Choir – Help young voices grow in faith and confidence through music.
- Seasonal Choir – Join us during Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter—no year-round commitment required.
- Cantors & Instrumentalists – Share your musical talents by leading the assembly in worship.

Hospitality
Hospitality ministers help create a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who enters Saint Ambrose. From greeting parishioners and visitors to assisting during Mass, these volunteers help ensure every person feels seen, valued, and at home.
