Living the Gospel Through Service
Christ calls each of us to put our faith into action by serving others. At Saint Ambrose, there are countless ways to share your gifts—whether by helping form the faith of children and families within our parish or by reaching out to serve our neighbors in need throughout the community. Whatever your talents, schedule, or experience, there is a place for you to make a meaningful difference.
Serve Our Neighbors
Our mission extends beyond Saint Ambrose Catholic Community. Through outreach, service projects, and partnerships with organizations throughout the community, we seek to share Christ’s love by caring for those who are vulnerable, supporting families, and advocating for the dignity of every human life.

Outreach Ministry
The Outreach Ministry provides opportunities for parishioners to serve neighbors in need through donation drives, volunteer projects, and partnerships with local organizations. Together, we put our faith into action by caring for those in our community.

To Be Truly Seen
Serve neighbors experiencing homelessness by sharing Christ’s love through authentic relationships. During monthly visits to the Dorothy Day Center, volunteers offer conversation, encouragement, games, snacks, and essential items, reminding each person they are seen, valued, and loved by God.

New Life Family Services
Saint Ambrose proudly supports New Life Family Services, formerly Woodbury Options for Women, to help mothers, fathers, children, and families through prayer, volunteer opportunities, and parish-wide initiatives such as the Baby Bottle Campaign and ongoing support through our gift shop.

Serve Through Faith Formation
Help nurture the faith of children, youth, and families by sharing your time, talents, and love of Christ. Whether teaching, mentoring, preparing materials, or assisting at events, these ministries play an important role in helping others grow as disciples.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Share the love of the Good Shepherd with the youngest members of our parish through this Montessori-based faith formation program. Whether serving as a catechist, substitute, or helping prepare materials for the atrium, you’ll help create a prayerful environment where children encounter Christ and grow in their Catholic faith.

Family Formation
Help children and families grow together in their relationship with Christ through our Family Formation program. Volunteers serve in a variety of ways, including as catechists, retreat helpers, and special event volunteers, creating meaningful experiences that strengthen faith, build community, and make a lasting impact on the lives of parish families.

Totus Tuus
Each summer, Totus Tuus brings children and teens together for a week of faith-filled learning, prayer, and fun. Volunteers play an important role by supporting the missionaries, welcoming families, preparing meals, and helping create a memorable experience for participants.
