Our Mission
Empowering parishioners of Saint Ambrose to live out their baptismal call by serving those in need within our local and broader community.
At Saint Ambrose Catholic Community, the Outreach Ministry invites you to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus through meaningful acts of service, generosity, and compassion. Rooted in our Catholic faith, this ministry brings parishioners together to respond to needs—supporting individuals and families with care, dignity, and hope.
Through hands-on service opportunities, seasonal giving programs, and partnerships with local organizations, the Outreach Ministry offers ways for every parishioner to participate. Whether you are called to give your time, share your talents, or offer your resources, there is a place for you here.
2026 Outreach Ministry Events
February 18 – April 2
Lent is a season of renewal, reflection, and service. During this time, parishioners are invited to step into volunteer opportunities with local organizations—serving the elderly, packing meals, supporting food shelves, and walking alongside those experiencing homelessness. These opportunities offer a tangible way to live out our faith through service.
May 9–10
Our annual Baby & Mom Shower supports mothers and young children by collecting essential items and gift cards. Donations gathered before and after Masses provide practical care and encouragement to families during an important and vulnerable season of life.
June 13–14
This drive supports the To Be Truly Seen ministry, which builds relationships with individuals experiencing homelessness through presence, hospitality, and compassion. Contributions help meet immediate needs while honoring the dignity and humanity of each person served.
July 18–19
The School Supply Drive helps students begin the school year equipped and confident. Donations collected before and after Masses support local families and partner organizations by providing essential supplies for children in our wider community.
September 19–20
As fall turns to winter, the Cold Weather Drive provides warmth and protection for those facing the elements. Donations support individuals served through the Dorothy Day Center and our To Be Truly Seen volunteers, offering comfort and care during the colder months.
October 24–25
This annual drive invites parishioners to help provide Thanksgiving meals and essential items to families in need. Donations support Open Cupboard and Catholic Charities’ Dorothy Day Center, meeting increased needs during the holiday season with generosity and gratitude.
November 7 – December 6
During Advent, parishioners are invited to share hope and joy through our Advent Giving Program. This seasonal effort provides gifts and support to families and individuals in need, helping prepare hearts and homes for the celebration of Christ’s coming.
