“I will sing to the lord as long as I live” — Psalm 104:33
Lead Others in Worship Through Music
Music has a unique way of lifting hearts to God and drawing people more deeply into prayer. At Saint Ambrose, our Music Ministry enriches every liturgy through joyful, prayerful worship, helping our parish family encounter Christ through song.
Whether you’ve sung for years, play an instrument, or simply have a desire to share your gifts, there is a place for you. We welcome parishioners of all ages and experience levels who feel called to serve through music.
Opportunities to Serve

Adult Choir
Our Adult Choir leads music for the 8:30 am and 11:00 am Sunday Masses, holy days, and other special liturgical celebrations throughout the year. Choir members rehearse on Wednesdays from 7:00–9:00 pm, with the season beginning each September. Whether you choose to sing at one Mass or both, rehearsals offer not only musical growth but also friendship, prayer, and a shared commitment to leading our parish in worship.

Children’s Choir
Open to students in grades 3–8, the Children’s Choir helps young people grow in faith while developing their musical talents. The choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 5:15–6:15 pm and sing at approximately one Mass each month, giving children the opportunity to lead our parish in worship while building confidence and a love for serving the Church. The choir season begins in early October, and new members are always welcome.

Seasonal Choir
Join the Adult Choir as we prepare beautiful music for Advent and Christmas or Lent and Easter. Rehearsals for the 2026 Advent/Christmas season are held November 4 – December 23, 2026. Rehearsals for the 2027 Lent/Easter season are held February 17 – March 24, 2027. Whether you join for one season or both, you’ll experience the joy of worshiping through music alongside a welcoming community.

Cantors
Cantors lead the assembly in sung prayer by proclaiming the Psalm and guiding congregational singing. Experienced vocalists are invited to audition.

Instrumentalists
We welcome skilled musicians who play piano, organ, guitar, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and other instruments to help enrich our liturgies. Auditions are required.

Behind the Scenes
Music ministry extends beyond singing and playing instruments. Volunteers are also needed to assist with sound, livestream production, presentation technology, and environment support that helps create beautiful worship experiences.
Share Your Gifts
Whether you’re an experienced musician or feel God inviting you to serve in a new way, we’d love to welcome you into our Music Ministry family. Together we help lead our parish in prayer, celebrate the beauty of the liturgy, and glorify God through music.
