You Are Not Alone
There are moments in life when the weight feels heavy and the path forward unclear. You may be facing grief after the loss of a loved one, walking through illness, experiencing divorce or job loss, navigating a spiritual struggle, or simply feeling overwhelmed or lonely.
Whatever you are carrying, you do not have to carry it alone.
God never intended for us to walk through life’s challenges by ourselves. Through Stephen Ministry, Saint Ambrose Catholic Community offers compassionate, Christ-centered care to those who are hurting.
Stephen Ministry at Saint Ambrose
Stephen Ministry places spiritual and emotional care at the heart of our parish life. Through one-to-one, Christ-centered relationships, Stephen Ministers walk alongside those who are hurting, offering a steady, compassionate presence during difficult seasons.
By serving in this way, Stephen Ministers extend the pastoral care of our priests and help strengthen the support offered within our parish and wider community. They are a true gift to Saint Ambrose — listening with care, praying with intention, and helping connect those in need with Christ’s healing love through life’s many challenges, from grief and illness to major transitions and times of uncertainty.
What is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministers are trained members of our parish who provide one-on-one, confidential care to individuals experiencing a difficult season. Each Stephen Minister has completed more than 50 hours of caregiving training and is equipped to listen with compassion, offer encouragement, and walk alongside you with prayerful support.
A Stephen Minister meets with you weekly — privately and confidentially — offering a steady, caring presence during a time when that support matters most.
